Notes to my Teenage Self

- School is rubbish, but that goes away. Life changes. You change. Learn what you can whilst you can.

- Parents aren't always right. Sometimes they get angry and frustrated like you do, because they too are only human.

- Remain patient. If you become otherwise, blame no-one but yourself.

- Don't judge anyone, you don't know their journey.

- Some people are born bad.

- Don't try to understand everything, some things you'll never understand.

- Stay creative. Keep writing.

- Dance like your Dad.

- Family comes first.

- It's OK to let go sometimes.

- Be yourself, people will love you for it.

- Listen to lots of music.

- Meet lots of people.

- Don't be afraid to talk.

- Teachers are sometimes bullies.

- Get outside, don't stay indoors.

- The world is overwhelmingly narcissistic. Don't be that way.

- Sometimes things will be taken away from you and you won't know why. It's OK.

- One day, someone will blow you away.

- You don't have to look like everyone else.

- You can love someone and still let them go.

- You will have other best friends.

- What you're learning in school is sometimes more social than academic.

- You get good material writing when you're sad or angry.

- You don't have to decide what you want to be at 18. You don't have to go to Uni, you learn just as much travelling, and it's more fun.

- Things have this way of balancing out, sometimes bad things happen for a reason.
